John is
Bjorns dad, heres what he has to say about his beloved peke and a new
pup:
.......Björn
is my Pekingese-dog i got him when he was 9 weeks, now he is 12 and a
half years old and looks ever so fine. His coat is still in good condition
and he walks with me every day three times for a quarter of an hour.
He is my everything and has gone through some difficult periodes with
me. I was 22 when i got him and i am 35 now....he has shared a lot of
grief and also happy times with me. Last week i went to a kennel (OF
KINGS DREAM) and picked out a new little Pekingese-puppy (this time
a female) to give Björn someting to frolic up his last years (i hope
) to come.He was always very loving to all puppies we encountered on
the street at our daily rounds and he is not jealous at all,so i suppose
he'll be very happy with it.Ofcoure i am going to give my old dog some
extra attention so he won't feel neglected.I am going to let him participate
in everything there is going to happen with the new doggie. On the 5th
of januari i can bring the youngster home with me...she'll be 9 weeks
old then. When i picked her out she was only 3 weeks. Björn and i are
going into a new part of our lives i am looking very much forward to
this period! Both my dogs have Pedigrees, the new one is also micro-chipped.(Björn
was tattood) I never went to shows with Björn but a lot of people have
told me over the years that he was of Show-Quality, I never have had
a car though and when showing you'll have to travel a lot, pitty! I
live in Holland Europe and am totally nuts about this breed. Over the
years I have bought a lot of books about Pekingese and I adore the way
they are!

Elizibeth
is Mr. Browne's mom, heres what she has to say about her beloved peke:
.......This
is our adopted Pekingese named Mr. Browne. He was born around Feb 14th,
2000. He was left by his former owner at our vet after suffering from
malnutrition, eating rat poison, and being kicked in the groin area
repeatedly. He almost died. Our vet offered a $5.00 per week payment
but the owners said keep their dog. I fell in love with him at first
sight, though I'm more used to larger dogs! He is our baby....his name
was Brownie, but he was so dignified we changed it to Mr. Browne. He
worked two days per week at our jewelry store. We have a website, www.gooddenjewellers.com
and he will be featured on it soon. He's in a cable TV commercial set
to air later this year around KC.

you have or have had a special peke in your life, please submit him or her for
Meili's Friend of Honor! It doesn't have to be a rescue peke or show dog, just
one that makes or has made a difference in your life.
Email me a pic and a short bio of your peke!
