The Featured Peke for July is Pookie !-due to the delay in getting Pookie posted, she gets August too!
	Pookie was chosen from a breeder when she was 3 months old. This was the day before we had to put down our beloved Trixie who was a Peke-a-Poo. After having Trixie for 12 years I never thought that another pup would every bring me as much joy as she did but found to be very wrong as soon as I met her. Pookie has amazed us with her energy level, her tricks, and loving personality. She has so many toys inside and out in the yard that it looks like I run a day-care. Our active little lady has several favorites but mostly enjoys her orange ball as you can tell in the photo that you printed in Gallery 2. Her favorite game is to climb to the top of the stairs and play ball by dropping it on the count of 3 to her dad. This is morning ritual and she will not let him back up the stairs until he plays. She also enjoys catching bubbles in the sky. This dog will jump at least 4 feet to catch them in the air when they are all around her feet. She enjoys balancing balls on her nose, chasing birds and squirrels in the yard, and cleaning her Border Collie Brother's ears and face. Her favorite treats are ice-cubes or a cut up hot dog slice. She is too darn good for a commercial doggie treat. She loves to watch me on the computer and pokes me when she is ready for attention to play again. We love her and enjoy her so much that she will be going on her first road trip to the lake, over the 4th of July, to celebrate her coming to us 1 year ago.
